It’s difficult not to fall under the charm of Provence handicrafts. The Guinea Fowl or Pintades as they are known in France, are undeniably part of this category. These life- sized ceramic poultry with their generous stylised lines are made of clay and hand glazed. Each features a graphic, speckled cobalt on sage plumage that contrasts with their little faces. A family tradition initiated by Heidi Caillard 50 years ago has endured and has made the adorable guinea fowl a classic of its kind. Lovingly handmade in France.
