Created in 2018 by French master perfumer Michel Almairac, Orris Tattoo / 29 is a beautiful tribute to one of the most treasured ingredients in traditional French perfumery: iris.

But this is not quite the iris you might imagine.

While we admire the delicate beauty of its flowers, perfumers are fascinated by what lies beneath the earth.

The iris root requires extraordinary patience. Three years growing underground, followed by another three years of drying, before it can be transformed into the precious beurre d'iris, or iris butter.

Six years of patience for an ingredient of remarkable refinement. Voilà le savoir-faire français !

Orris Tattoo celebrates this extraordinary material with an elegant, powdery character. Delicate violet lends a floral softness, while amber introduces a gentle warmth that beautifully complements the distinctive, earthy elegance of iris.

The result is intimate, sophisticated and quietly captivating. Not a fragrance that needs to announce its arrival, but one that leaves a lasting impression.
